Analysis: Southwest's outreach on Twitter

This article was created by Garrett Heath, a Content Marketer at Rackspace. Garrett spent months collecting Twitter data about Southwest Airlines—a company well-known in the PR space for their social media practices. He asked the question “Do you have to be a Twitter superstar to get the attention of @SouthwestAir?” His finding? No, you don't.

The infographic he built allows users to explore the data and come up with their own analyses. For example, by clicking on "apology" in the pie chart about the tone of tweets, you can dicover that @SouthwestAir sends the most apologies on the weekends. You can also filter the data by day of week, the representative who sent the tweets, or the number of Twitter followers of the tweet recipient.
