This slideshow features three families and the adventures they've had when they've taken their children, or granchildren on an Untour.

  • Jim and Pauline Parker took two granddaughters to Switzerland and Austria.
  • The DeWoody's took their girls to Switzerland, Italy and Greece.
  • The Claassen-Kings took their grandchildren to Switzerland.
The first set of  photos were taken when Stephanie Baker's daughter and her cousin were on an Untours trip to Austria and Switzerland with their grandparents.

Photos are of the girls enjoying various parts of the trip. Their names are Shannon Baker and Emily Parker and their grandparents are Pauline and Jim Parker. All photos are from this summer 2013.

Our family, my husband and I and our four girls, have travelled with Untours to three wonderful locations - over the past 10 years - Switzerland, Italy and Greece. We chose Switzerland because it was so well suited for families with young children.

The DeWoodys picked Lungern too, for it's incredibly kid-friendly environment

When the children were three years older, we travelled with Untours to Tuscany and we took a side trip to Rome.  Once again a dream trip, beautiful scenery, lots to do and learn every day!

Three years later we travelled wtih Untours to Greece and stayed for several weeks in Napflion.  Once again, the scenery was amazing.  The small town was the perfect home base for us to explore Greece and many of the small islands.  And, our Untour Guide in Greece was very helpful when it came time to get a rental car suited for 6 people (not an easy task in this area)

The unforgettable Syntagma Square in Napflio, homebase for the Greek Untour. The square's stones are polished marble.

Grandsons John and Matthias buy Swiss Army knives at a shop in Meiringen while Grandpa Phil King looks on.  These were the boys' big souvenirs of the trip, and selecting them and buying them was a very big deal.  Grandpa King gave them the spending money.  Five years later, they still carry their knives often.

If the children misbehave, there are safe places to lock them up until they calm down. (Having fun at Schloss Thun, John and Matthias pose for the camera behind a fortified door.)

A highlight for the kids (including the 40+-year-old ones) was taking the Trotti bikes from Magisalp to Bidmi.
