What kind of media Institution might distribute your media product and why?

The production company we used in our short media film entitled 'The Candi Club' was stoned productions and the distribution company was 'firework films'. 

Both the production and distribution companies were fictional and we came up with both of the names and the logo.

If the film was to be released to a mass audience I would ideally like it be distributed by 'Universal Studios inc' and produced by 'A&M Films' as a homage to the quintessential 80's film and our inspiration for our media project 'The Breakfast Club'.

I would also if possible like for a British Production and Distribution company to take on our film to add a bit of British personality and grit to our short film. My main pick for the production company  would be Film4 as they have worked with a number of small budget films over the years and I would like it to be distributed by StudioCanal UK .

The reason I have gone with Universal and A&M films is because I believe they would be suited to reaching as wide an audience as possible. They could target the older audience who watched the original Breakfast Club as well as a new demographic of teenagers who may not have even heard of it. The appeal to the younger audience as well as the nostalgia surrounding the film would help it become a box office smash.

I also believe that by having Film4 and StudioCanal UK they would also help personalize the film. They would make it readily accessible to teenagers as they have done so in the past with other films such as In Fear. I also feel that they are suited to working under a small budget and are very efficient in allocating resources.

I know that they will fully be behind a British project and give it every chance to succeed by helping it reach a wider audience.
